Dapol's Class 67 diesel is one of the easiest N Gauge diesels to convert to DCC Sound. Very little modification is required to
the chassis, and the speaker can very nearly be fitted without any milling at all.
However, the speaker enclosure on the standard CT sugar-cube is greatly reduced in height, still producing plenty of volume.
Note the difference in height and top-shape between the installed enclosure compared to an unmodified enclosure, which is
included in the picture for reference.
A CT SL76 decoder is hard-wired to motor and pickups, sitting neatly on top of the motor in the centre. This decoder is thin
enough to be used in this manner. There is also a small capacitor placed at the far end of the chassis - this one is a
16V/100uF standard electrolyic capacitor, which is ok for DCC systems running at 16V.
