Kit: Zimo MX648 with Zimo MicroCube speaker
Just gorgeous, this Schools Class from Dapol! Not a lot of space in the tender, but our standard approach for Dapol steamers of
decoder on top of the motor, and speaker behind works just fine, albeit just a MicroCube.
Here is SR 910 'Merchant Taylor' before beginning the upgrade...

Tender stripped of the DCC socket and components across the motor, MicroCube sits up behind the motor, unwanted wires removed
from the decoder, and decoder-sized hole made in the coal load.

Wiring all the same as ever... orange and grey to the motor, red and black to pickups, purples to speaker - very simple... then
fit decoder into the hole we just made, protect and seal (we used simple double-sided tape). Connect up and test.

Now for a new coal load. Electrical tape temporarily on the tender body sides to protect from seeping glue while the crushed
lump coal is added.

Clean off and adjust stray bits of coal if necessary, teasing into a pleasing shape before the glue dries, and removing any
excess lumps.

So the finished article!
