Graham Farish have rereleased their Class 47 with revised PCB, sporting a Next18 DCC socket instead of 6pin, and an on-board
speaker. This makes DCC Sound installation a doddle!
This shows a standard MX618 motor decoder installed, which we'll and replace with the sound decoder.
Our MS581 'G' simply plugs in. The decoder has wires pre-attached for a pair of mini GoldCaps for stay-alive (GoldCaps included
with the 'G' version of the MS581).
The GoldCaps are connected in series, wrapped in Kapton, and a convenient space found behind the cab - all fits neatly with no
modifications required, and gives excellent performance.
