Dapol O Gauge (Ex-Lionheart) 64XX Pannier Tank

We really like the Ex-Lionheart Dapol - very solid and great built quality. DCC Sound installation is pretty straight-forward. This version has a 21pin DCC socket, so the MX644D just plugs in. The model has a space provided for a round speaker, but we have something slightly different in mind...

In the bottom of the speaker well, we position the LifeLink, then above that, the SuperCap, for stay-alive.

Here is the stay-alive in position, now wired up and protected with Kapton tape.

Then a YLR302815 2W speaker is placed, secured down with BlackTack.

We also add a YouChoos bi-colour lamp at each end. The one on the back of the bunker requires routing the wires through the cab.

All back together, fitted with figures and given a custom weathering job. Definitely one of our favourite O gauge models!
