Apart from producing a new guide for this old favourite, we also tackle the issue of those massive resistors on the Jinty's PCB
which get in the way of being able to push down a sound decoder properly - this photo below shows what we mean, and it isn't
pretty!
Our solution is simple, if a little crude, but it does the job... carefully snip off the resistors leaving a little bit of the
leg on either side so we can reattach them wire some short lengths of wire instead...
Protect in Kapton and secure down with a little BlackTack. We just go wtih the sample 1000uF capacitor for stay-alive on this
Jinty, but there is plenty of room so you could use a MGOBLOCK or MGOLANG just as easily if you want a long stay-alive.
