Heljan O Gauge Class 37/0 (XL socket version) with MS sound

Kit: MS990L; YLR603010 3W speaker

Heljan's re-tooled Class 37 is excellent, with numerous lighting features, and an 'XL' DCC decoder socket.

The Zimo MS990L almost plugs straight in, but the servo pins of the socket board are not compatible (and not used in the model either!) so we remove that entire header row, after which, the MS990L slots straight on.

The YLR603010 speaker fits neatly under the socket and produces plenty of sound on its' own, especially with our brand new (2024) recordings of the Class 37 from the Gloucester and Warwickshire Railway!
