Heljan O Gauge 43XX Mogul with MS Booster Board Sound

Kit: MS440C; ADAMTC Booster; YLR603010; 6x Mini GoldCaps for stay-alive

First we'll assemble the stay-alive for this Mogul... we use 6 mini GoldCaps (2.7V each) connected in series to give 16V overall. This solution is a bit fiddlier than a SuperCap but the performance is quite a bit better for a similar physical size.

The L socket is removed and replaced with an ADAMTC booster board (could have used ADAPLU PluX22 version instead). Wires are transferred from the L socket to the booster.

Booster and YLR603010 speaker sit alongside each other. Kapton used to insulate and BlackTack to fix items into place. The GoldCap array is wrapped in Kapton and positioned toward the rear.

We replace the plastic chimney on this model with a white metal one - could be useful if putting a smoke generator in later (not shown here).
