Kit: MX648R, SugarCurve7
Brief photo guide showing simple install of MX648R sound decoder, plugging into the provided 8pin DCC socket. Decoder and
speaker are secured up into the nose.
The customer also fitted working lights to the model, to good effect as these night shots show...

Here's another one, finished article, this time with MX648, Brick11, SACC16, SuperCap17000, firebox glow, crew and custom
weathering...
Kit: MX648 hard-wired; IceCube18x13x11-1W speaker; SACC16 + SuperCap17000; Nano Firebox
...and another example, this time with some more detailed photos of the installation...
Body off, reveals the 8pin DCC socket, which we have to remove to make extra space for more kit (if we went with a smaller
speaker and the MX648 only then we could simply plug in for a really easy installation).
We grinding the platform where the 8pin socket was to make it flat, and insulate carefully with electrical tape. The SuperCap
then sits here, with SACC16 PCB on top, with decoder.
Speaker (not actually shown here), slots into boiler, secured with some Black Tack.
