21pin MX644 (C or D) decoder simply plugs in, speaker wires are soldered to the large tabs provided in the model, and LifeLink
PCB with SuperCap are wired up to the decoder, covered in Kapton tape, and slotted underneath the end of the decoder.
Example 2: Bachmann SDJR 7F with DCC Sound, extra decoder, lights etc.

Just photos of the finished model here... this example had a lot more kit installed, including a second decoder in the loco for
control of firebox glow and front lamps.
