Example 1: Bachmann OO LNER D11 with DCC Sound, small stay-alive

Kit: MX644D; IceCube28X18X08-2W

Bachmann's D11 model is gorgeous! SImple to fit sound too... MX644D 21pin decoder is the easy bit. It is designed for a 28mm round speaker, but we go for something better with an IceCube28X18X08-2W, which requires a bit of work with cutting the plastic under the coal load, and placing the stay-alive capacitors above the slope, under the removable coal.

Example 2: Same, but larger stay-alive

Kit: MX644D; IceCube28X18X09-2W ; LifeLink+17000uF SuperCap

The tender on the D11 is just wide enough for a dual IceCube to fit across-ways, allowing for space for a SuperCap between the decoder and the speaker. LifeLink tucks underneath the decoder.
