Example 1: Single Speaker, no modifications

Kit: Zimo MX644D with Zimo LS26X20X08-1W Dumbo speaker, independent cab lights, crew, SuperCap6800uf stay-alive

We will be providing independent control of the cab lights, so we solder our rear cab wires direct to the feet of the 21pin plug (FA3/AUX4). The model already provides separate control of the cab lights together via FA2/AUX3, so we just need to bypass this for the rear cab light. Brown wire is our -VE for the rear cab light.

For the rear cab light, it is easy to remove the wires and swap for our new wire.

The MX644D, small Dumbo and SuperCap all fit in quite easily.

Example 2: Dual Speaker, some modifications to fans

Kit: MX644D; Zimo Dumbo LS40X22X09-2W; LifeLink with 17000uF SuperCap

A little more ambitious (but only a little more!) we go with a dual Dumbo speaker instead, which requires the fan assembly to be removed and the fans themselves to be glues back into position.

This minor effort is well worth it for the extra depth and volume achieved.
