A fairly rudimentary model from Hornby, this SDJR 2P (Midland Fowler design) has a lot of space in the tender, so plenty of
scope for DCC sound. We've selected the Johnson 1P sounds for this one.
The loco body is removed here just for interested - there is no space in there for anything, so it all goes in the tender. Be
careful of the joining wires between loco and tender though, as these are easy to snag on the screw fixing on the coupling bar.
Our 8pin MX450R shown here with dual SugarCube24X15X09 speaker and the standard 1000uF capacitor for a small stay-alive -
plenty of room in the tender, so nothing clever to do here other than fix it all down with some BlackTack.
Tender body back on, carefully avoiding pinching any of the joining wires.
