Kit: MX645R; IceCube28X18X09-2W; SuperCap17000uF
The Lord Nelson is one of my all-time favourite locomotives, and the Hornby model is excellent. All the DCC gubbins is in the
tender - 8pin socket and space for a 28mm round speaker. We don't like round speakers though, and can do a lot better with one
of our dual IceCubes instead. We'll also squeeze in a really good stay-alive in the form of a SuperCap17000uF.

Disconnect the tender from the loco, so we can more easily work on the tender, where all the new kit will go.

We decided to remove the 8pin DCC socket from the model, thinking we woud need all the space we could get, but in retrospect,
we probably could have left it in there and simply plugged the MX645R in!

Our dual IceCube speaker will fit across the tender.

We tidy the MX645, especially the lighting wires, as we won't be adding any lighting to this model.

We slot the decoder down into the recess of the metal weight, into the space intended for a round speaker.

We mount the SuperCap vertically at the back of the tender - perfect height!

Very smart, very loud, and very stay-alivey (just invented that one, but is appropriate)!
