Kit: MS450R; SugarCube24X15X10 speaker; SuperCap17000uF for stay-alive

Standard Hornby layout for 8pin tender-fit DCC, the O1 is easy enough to fit basic kit into, but we want better, so plan a path for a decent dual SugarCube speaker and SuperCap for stay-alive...

First we try out the easy install using a 28mm round speaker...

MS450R or MX645R sound decoder fits on top of the metal weight, and tender body goes back on OK. Sound performance is reasonable, but lacks bass.

We therefore take a different approach, placing a SuperCap under the weight (well insulated of course), decoder as before, still plugged into the 8pin socket, but then we have to create a big space for a decent speaker...
