Sancheng models can be quite varied in quality, but this little GWR 1361 is just gorgeous and very neatly put together. Remove the chassis screws and the body slides up very easily, revealing some convenient spaces around the vertical motor for our kit to be housed.

Here we have our MX645 decoder with 24X15X08 dual SugarCube speaker and 17000uF SuperCap stay-alive all connected up with appropriate wire lengths, and unwanted lighting wires removed for neatness.

Speaker sides on one side of the motor in the pannier recess, and SuperCap on the other, secured with BlackTack and protected as appropriate with Kapton tape.

The decoder will fit vertically on the same side as the SuperCap - there is enough clearance between the motor and the SuperCap to take it quite comfortably.
