Dapol O Gauge Class 08 Diesel with Zimo MS sound

Kit: MS440D; MGOLANG stay-alive; YLR453520 3W speaker

The excellent and ever-popular Dapol Class 08 in O gauge, we revisit here with Zimo MS kit. Engine bay cover just pings off revealing the 21pin DCC socket. Must be the 'D' version of the MS440D to support all the lighting, and there are multiple versions of the 08 with different lighting configurations, so check which one you have.

An easy fit speaker woud have been the YLR302815 2W traditional box, which can slide behind the radiator without any hassle, but in this example we use the larger YLR453520 3W speaker instead - needs unscrewing of the model's PCB temporarily, but quite a simple job nonetheless. We have also added an MGOLANG GoldCap array for stay-alive, protected in Kapton tape and attached to the inside with BlackTack.

To fit crew, the cab must be inclipped underneath (one clip each side), then the cab will slide upwards.
