Dapol (ex-Lionheart) 74XX O gauge Pannier Tank with MS Sound

Kit: MS440; YLR302815 speaker; MGOLANG stay-alive

A revisit of an old favourite - the 74XX/64XX Pannier from Dapol (ex-Lionheart design). Very simple - 21pin MS440, remove the round factory speaker baffle and place a YLR301815 2W Traditional speaker in its' place, and hide an MGOLANG GoldCap stay-alive array underneath the speaker.

Remember to ping up the water tops to gain access to 2 of the body-retaining screws - not entirely obvious!

Unscrew the round speaker baffle as we won't be needing that.

This model provides solder pads for connection of the speaker - beware that not all Panniers have these - some have mini 2-pin sockets instead, which is more difficult if you don't have a suitable plug for the socket!

The MGOLANG stay-alive is protected with Kapton tape, then placed in the speaker well.

Lugs cut off the speaker, and 4 small blobs of BlackTack to secure it into the model, tidy the wiring, and all done!
