Example 1: Bachmann OO Class 40 Diesel - 21pin Version with MX sound

Here is Bachmann's 21pin Version of their Class 40 diesel. Lighting is just 3-function in this one (head/tail directional lights and both cab lights on a 3rd output).

We decide to do without the fan assembly, which provides space for an 8mm height dual IceCube speaker, so it will sound pretty good. We also opt for a 6800uF SuperCap for stay-alive, via our LifeLink charging circuit.

All the photos here show the kit already in place - pretty simple to do...

Example 2: MS sound in 21pin Class 40

Briefly revisiting this model, this time with an MS sound decoder, simple round speaker in the roof and cheap capacitors for stay-alive (pair of 1000uF/16V capacitors).
