Heljan OO Lion D0260 Diesel Prototype

Another model we haven't seen for a long time, revisited here with newer kit. Heljan's prototype Lion diesel D0260 has an 8pin DCC socket and enough scope for some good kit.

We opt to separate the red tail lights from the headcodes, so these will operate off FA1 and FA2 (green and brown decoder wires) outputs. A fairly easy job.

Plasticard platforms are added at either end of the main PCB above the bogies. A Storm10 speaker (4 ohm) sits at one end, and an MGOLANG GoldCap stay-alive sits at the other end (protected in Kapton tape).

Otherwise, pretty straight-forward, and the output from the Storm10 speaker is excellent. We used Class 33 engine sounds with Class 47 horns.
